Adult Therapy

Life is a mixture of triumphs and challenges (and so much in-between). Throughout various points in life, those challenges may feel more difficult to navigate. I am here to tell you that you don’t have to navigate those challenges alone.

I work with adults of all ages to provide support, care, and guidance. Whether you’re looking to improve your ability to cope with emotions or situations, improve your relationships, live more authentically, process past difficult experiences, or feel more empowered, I am here to help.

My approach to working with adults is relational and rooted in attachment. Early relationships create a blueprint for how we view/understand ourselves, others, and the world. Through the development of insight and understanding of our past, we can make informed changes for our present and future. In order for therapeutic progress to take place, a strong and secure therapeutic relationship must be established. The therapeutic relationship is the vessel in which change occurs. Therefore, our initial work together will involve the development of the therapeutic relationship. From there, I will incorporate the use of skills, mindfulness, and other tools to guide you towards your goals.

I frequently work with adults to achieve:

  • Improved emotional identification/understanding

  • Increased frustration tolerance

  • Increased confidence in coping with emotions

  • Increased knowledge of coping tools and skills

  • Decreased symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders

  • Improved body image

  • Increased confidence, self-esteem, self-acceptance

  • Increased satisfaction in relationships

  • Increased ability to focus and concentrate

  • Increased feelings of joy and fulfillment in life.

  • Increased ability to advocate for self

I believe therapy is a collaborative effort. I want to hear your thoughts, ideas, and feedback. I am an expert in mental health, but you are the expert in YOU. Let’s work together to help you feel better and more aligned with your life’s goals and values. I look forward to connecting soon!

Radical self-love demands that we see ourselves and others in the fullness of our complexities and intersections and that we work to create space for those intersections.
